The three-day residential stone carving workshops run monthly from May to October 2004. They are designed as an introduction to learning stone carving skills and are suitable for beginners and Intermediate levels. Students will be provided with stone carving tools and the Portland stone can be taken home at the end of the workshop.
Rosemary Elliott, sculptor, art lecturer and Advanced Skills Teacher, trained in Fine Art at the Royal Academy Schools, London. She received an award from Commissions East and East England Arts in 2003 to develop stone carving workshops in Essex and Suffolk.
Full board accommodation in the Manor House offers single and double rooms with magnificent sea views. Partners or friends not participating in the workshops can stay full board in the Manor House or self catering in the cottages to relax or explore the local sights of the Suffolk Heritage Coast.
