Opportunities for Field Studies

Set on a promontory on the north bank of the River Deben estuary, the Estate offers many opportunities for extension work at GCCSE, AS/A2 Level and IB.  Field Studies courses have a specialist facility in the Boat House overlooking Bawdsey Quay; basic equipment is provided but course-specific teaching materials are not.  Students come with their own teacher to develop skills in data collection, handling and analysis for a variety of courses.

Visiting groups can use, by prior arrangement, all of the sports facilities on site. Bawdsey Quay Watersports activities are available at additional charge.  Evening social activities, often joining with students from other schools and other countries, are a feature of courses here.
