Private Celebrations

You may hire our lovely reception rooms for private celebrations of your own.  The Great Hall, Green Room and Manor Dining Room together can easily seat up to 120 guests for a formal meal.  For a more intimate setting, choose the Green Room where the oval dining table can seat 15 or 16 people.

Catering
Catering for celebrations and special ceremonies is provided by our highly experienced team.  

We are licensed to sell alcohol and can provide a bar for your event.  Whatever you choose, we will work closely with you to plan for a very a special occasion.

Accommodation
There is every reason to stay overnight.  Accommodation ranges from superior guest rooms in the Manor to shared student-style rooms in other houses on the Estate.  

Special Ceremonies

The Great Hall at Bawdsey Manor is also licensed by Suffolk County Council for the following special ceremonies: citizenship ceremonies; commitment ceremonies; renewal of vows; naming of children; civil funerals. The Great Hall is licensed for 84 people. This impressive room provides a dignified setting for these significant events in your lives. Afterwards, refreshments are served in the Green Room with its inspiring views over the Deben Estuary. 

You will have to make arrangements with the Registrar at Woodbridge to perform these Ceremonies (01394 387876 or deben.registrars@suffolk.gov.uk) There will be an additional charge paid direct to the Registrar.
