A three-day residential workshop: an introduction to stone carving skills, suitable for beginners and intermediate students.  Workshop dates for 2010 can be found below (courses start at 16.45pm on the evening before the first day with a tour of the Manor, estate and gardens before supper at 18.30pm).  Group sizes are limited to eight so students will receive plenty of individual attention and the course can be adapted according to each person's needs.  Stone and tools will be provided but students are encouraged to bring drawing materials to explore initial ideas.  Students will be able to make a piece of sculpture to take home at the end of the weekend.

Terms and Conditions
Lucy Churchill's Stone Carving Workshops are fully covered by Public Liability Insurance.  This does not include personal medical insurance for participants, or cover students being unable to attend courses that they have booked.

Accommodation
Twin and double guest rooms at Bawdsey Manor, some with sea views and others overlooking the Estate.  Full board accommodation for participants and non-participating partners or friends.  The Manor is licensed to serve alcohol.
